As we bid farewell to February and move toward the spring months, I’m navigating through the early stages of my new novel. It’s called Compromised.
Among the gung-ho days of fresh ideas and growing enthusiasm comes the occasional lull. When the inspiration crawls like cold molasses, I keep a few books around for a jolt of encouragement.
Steven Pressfield’s NOBODY WANTS TO READ YOUR SH*T is one of them.
I can relate.
This book is not just for writers, of course. If you ever started a project and found yourself struggling to get through the goals you set for yourself, you might find at least one take-away from Pressfield’s compilation of truisms.
I like that he acknowledges my need for philosophical waxing, or any other kind of rambling that helps me bang the story out. He’s not the your-way-is-the-wrong-way kinda teacher. He recommends gushing, taking the long route and adding too many steps in the beginning. Then fine tuning with my audience in mind.
So, what you asked, am I waxing about next? Did you say you were in the mood for cybercrime and more spicy romance?
More on this next time.
Until we chat again . . .
Let There Be Romance.
Truly yours,
Angela
PS:
I would love to hear from you. Leave me a comment about your personal cyber nightmares. Maybe your experience would make it into my next novel.

Hi! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
It’s wordpress.
Thank you,
Angela
